In Vancouver:

Aphrodite Cafe - This cafe is famous for its organic pies (they sell just the crusts too for "homemade" creations) but offers extensive brunch, lunch and dinner menus.

Beyond Breads - A small bakery that bakes up the best baguette in Vancouver and delightfully heavy loaves of organic Peasant and sprouted wheat breads.

Whole Foods Deli - Whole Foods everywhere offers a large variety of cold and hot foods and meals made with natural and organic ingredients. Best chocolate cake ever.

In Kitsilano:

Andale's (West Broadway)- A Mexican/Spanish restaurant with wonderful homemade sauces and dressings. They offer excellent service and a family friendly atmosphere.

Baguette & Co. - Best French bakery in Vancouver. It's just like being in Paris only cheaper. We love the croissants (regular, almond and chocolate), Autumn and walnut buns, muffins and all the dry pastries. Great textures and nothing is too sweet.

C'est Mon Cafe - A small cafe offering homemade breakfasts and lunches. Breakfast is served all day. Cash only.

Joe's Grill - A classic diner offering free range eggs, homemade waffles and pancakes and excellent service.

Kerkis Greek Taverna - Kerkis makes the best arni psito (lamb shoulder) and tzatziki in Greek town. Closed on Mondays!

Minerva's Greek Deli - Kits used to be Greek town and Minerva's Deli is practically a landmark. They offer cold and hot foods and meals (including breakfast) in their deli and sell Greek specialty groceries.

In West Point Grey:

Enigma - Enigma is very family friendly and has an eclectic menu. Dinners are inexpensive for what you get. High end food for mid range prices.

Baru Latino - This restaurant makes the best Caipirinha in Vancouver and offers fantastic latin tapas and dinner at excellent prices.

In Fairview:

Flying Swan (Blue Moon) - The same family has been serving up breakfast and Chinese food for Vancouverites from the same location for over 60 years. Great diner breakfast.
